33 Realty Supports ALGH & the ADSC

This past weekend 33 Realty and Cubed Construction attended the Advocate Lutheran General Hospital’s Third Annual Fundraising Event – Eat, Drink and Be Charitable!

Advocate Lutheran General Hospital (ALGH) is a 645-bed non-profit teaching hospital located in Park Ridge, IL. This year the Junior Advocate Board (JAB) elected to support the hospital’s Adult Down Syndrome Center (ADSC).

“Events like these are critical to hospital operations as they draw attention to underfunded areas,” said Drew Millard, Principal of 33 Realty and member of the JAB. “It’s much easier to raise money for causes like cancer and Alzheimer’s, but there are a lot of causes that don’t receive that heightened attention. We work to bridge the financial gap so patients can get the care they deserve.”

Patient fees cover less than 50 percent of expenses, so charitable giving plays a critical role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the ADSC and making care accessible to patients. Funds also support health and wellness classes, the Healing Garden, and the Research and Education Initiative.

Since opening in 1992, the ADSC has focused on enhancing the well-being of adolescents and adults living with Down syndrome by providing quality healthcare, enriching educational programs, and compassionate caregivers. In a typical year, the ADSC has more than 7,500 visits with patients ranging in age from 12 to 84. The ADSC is nationally-recognized for its unique team approach to providing comprehensive, holistic, community-based health care services.
