Project Overview
Located in Chicago’s Uptown neighborhood, this property was in significant disrepair when Cubed took over. To complicate matters, tenants were vacated over a series of many months during which time Cubed was obligated to continue its renovations. Throughout construction, it was discovered the major building systems would require significant out-of-scope upgrades. Cubed was asked to navigate permitting issues that arose due to these unknowns and worked in partnership with Hirsch Architects to correct the issues.
Project Outcome
Units were delivered ahead of schedule despite the aforementioned building and City challenges. Midway through the project, ownership awarded Cubed the amenity space renovation work due to their performance on the unit upgrades. Despite ongoing construction, Cubed helped ownership secure partial occupancy so the buildings could be leased mid-project. The property competes with other luxury Uptown developments and was positioned at a fraction of the cost.
